Great on the fly (so to speak) guide for our recent week-long trip to Baja Sur, liked having the Mexican common names for the bird species. Would highly recommend the Birds We See, by Llewellyn, C. E. if you are in Baja Sur. Spendier and not a field guide, but had excellent photos of most of the common bird species we saw, with additional anecdotal comments.
I used this product in the Puerto Vallarta area. It doesn’t include all birds (no orange-breasted bunting) and its presentation of birds is limited by the space available. However, it’s a good quick guide, and there aren’t any bird guides that are more current.
Very helpful in identifying common birds quickly. Lightweight and easy to use.
$8.95 seems like an awful lot of money for this laminated pamphlet.
