This book is a comprehensive update to the definitive guide to baseball hall of fame autographs. While the first edition is still very good, this edition is even better, as it contains several more classes of players who have been inducted into the hall, as well as a long awaited price guide for each of the signatures analyzed.The book is organized in a similar fashion to the first edition. The author gives a history of his extensive collecting experience, and what people may want to consider collecting. The "meat" of the book is the detailed signature study for just about every player in Cooperstown. As mentioned above, the book improves on the first edition by the inclusion of the price guide and additional hall of fame classes. In addition, there is a very enjoyable new section containing the author's top fifty deceased Non-Hall of Fame players worth collecting. Whether you agree or disagree with this top fifty, the players mentioned are all worth collecting, and would be nice additions to any person's collection. The analysis follows the same format as used for the Hall. Each player has a signature study and a valuable price guide as to each signature.While you may not become an autograph expert overnight, this guide will definitely help you avoid being ripped off by overpaying for an item, or even worse, acquiring a forgery. I strongly recommend this book.
I bought this book for my husband for Christmas. He just started collecting autographed baseballs and he loves the book!
