Very sturdy and clear maps. We were backpacking and a couple trails we had planned to do were closed because of weather. I'm SO glad we had this map because it has trails marked, where campgrounds are, the distances, and more. IT IS NOT A TRAIL GUIDE but has a lot of this information. We were able to pick a new itinerary without any trail books just using this map. I'll definitely be getting this brand when we do other trips.

This was not a useful map. The scaling was strange so in order to use the map as a driving map in Banff/ Lake Louise you need the North and South maps. The maps are pretty big so not convenient at all. I originally purchased to use as a trail map, and it does show a lot of locations of trails, but you can't use it as a trial map. At best it will allow you to find the general location of a trial. I wouldn't buy this again.

The National Geographic National Park maps (both USA & CA) are a must for a National Park visitor. Waterproof, frequently updated, tough, and detailed. I use them for roads, trails, backpacking, and canoe touring. LOVE EM!!!

Nice map. Durable and covers a lot of trails. Very helpful for both driving and hiking in the parks.

Gave it a 5 because it lives up to its description - Trails Illustrated - and the material looks durable. Should be great for hikers as it depicts the terrain and provides the distances of the trails. However, I was disappointed that it did not include an insert (blow up) map of Banff.

Great planning map

Good for general planning, but the scale is way too large for any practical mountaineering purposes beyond trail hiking.
